The Arm Solar Collector is an important structure in the begining stages of most battles.Used on nearly all worlds this structure as you can probably guess collects sunlight and converts it from solar energy into a form which your Commander and Construction Units can make use of.If attacked this structure also has the ability to close its solar panels to give added protection.
Build Cost: 145 Metal 760 Energy.

The Arm Wind Generator is another structure important in the beginning stages of battle especially when metal resources are low due to it's relative low build cost.While not as adaptable to the enviroment as the Solar Collector,due to the need for atmosphere,also its energy production is variable due to inconsistant wind speed.A further disadvantage is its vulnerbility to attack because of its lack of any armour this structure can be destroyed with little effort.
Build Cost: 52 Metal 509 Energy.
The Arm Energy Storage.Well what can I say about this..It stores energy.This can help you to increase production rates, early in a campaign, as the more construction units which are nanolathing the higher the energy requirements.
Build Cost: 240 Metal 2430 Energy.
The Arm Metal Storage.Well what can I say about this..It stores metal.Again this helps increase production rates as does the Energy Store.
Build Cost: 305 Metal 353 Energy .
The Arm Metal Extractor.Your basic Metal Extractor is an exceptionally important structure in the begining stages of any battle as it will be your only source of metal untill such times as you get energy production high enough to run metal makers or Moho metal makers.As Metal Extractors are as easily destroyed as the Wind Generator they also must be protected from your opponent as if your energy or metal supply's are eliminated then your production will grind to a standstill and you will lose valuable construction and production time rebuilding your resource generators.
Build Cost: 50 Metal 521 Energy.
The Arm Metal Maker.Your basic Metal Maker is not as indispensable as your Metal Extractor and can be of some use if you find yourself short on metal but only if you have the energy to supply it.Producing 1 unit of metal per 60 units of energy this is not the most efficient of structures but can help suplement your metal requirements.
Build Cost: 0 Metal 687 Energy.
The Arm Kbot Lab.Your Kbot Lab is classed as a Level 1 construction facility.This means it can produce Level 1 units.Level 1 units are the cheapest,weakest and least well armed out of all your your available units.However that is not to say they dont have their uses.Kbots are pedial in nature, meaning they have legs, but the only advantage this seems to serve is increased manouverability.
Build Cost: Metal 705 Energy 1130.
The Arm Vehicle Plant.This is another of your level 1 construction plants.Which as the name suggests constructs vehicles.A most usefull structure depending on which strategy you employ especially as it has the lowest cost in resources to build!!!
Build Cost: 620 Metal 1000 Energy.
The Arm Aircraft Plant. This plant is of significant importance in many strategys which you will employ too defeat your adversaries.It will require your fullest attention and skills to use this plant to your fullest advantage as nearly all units it produces have a high energy cost with low to medium armour and damage capability.
Build Cost: 850 Metal 1370 Energy.
The Arm Shipyard.Again an important facility in your fight against our foes.Of course is only of use on worlds in possesion of seas or oceans.However if you take a drop ship or galactic jump gate to such a world then production of one of these facilitys is of prime importance depending on the extent of the planets surface area covered in liquid.
Build Cost: 615 Metal 775 Energy.
The Arm Light Laser Tower.This is the only defensive structrure you can build commander while it is only one of many which your specialised construction units may build. Ideally under normal circumstances you should not require to rely this structure for your own defense but more to defend other weaker units and structures.
Build Cost: 262 Metal 2546 Energy.
The Arm Radar Tower.This structure is most usefull in detecting our foes location and their forces movements.This intelligence is vital to any campaign both in planing and carrying out an attack as well as providing early warning to possiable hostile actions.
Build Cost: 49 Metal 750 Energy.
The Arm Advanced Vehicle Plant. This facility is involved in the production of our larger vehicles incorporating advanced weapon's technology and heavy armourment.This plant is of immense value however the vehicles it produces are mostly of a specilist nature and thus only of tactical use in specific circumstances.

The Arm Geothermal Power Plant.

The Arm Sentinel.
Build Cost: 584 Metal 5398 Energy.
The Arm Missile Tower or 'Defender'.A relatively cheap defensive structure with a good range but poor armour. This structure provides both excellent anti-air protection and also good ground defense against the weaker of the ground units.
Build Cost: 79 Metal 843 Energy.
The Arm Anti-Tank Structure or 'Dragons Teeth'.The Dragons tooth is a usefull and very cheep structure to build. When used to protect primary defensive structures or even surround your bases perimeter it gives you a two fold advantage where it slows your enemys units thus giving you extra time to fire upon them and rush reinforcements to that area while also protecting otherwise vulnurable structures and defenses from the full force of the attack.

The Arm Guardian.
Build Cost: 1946 Metal 7687 Energy.

Please note all subsequent units and structures after this Yellow and Black Border are either NOT included in the Standard Version of Total Annihilation and subsequently became available on the Core Contingency Expansion CD, or were not available within the Standard Interface to the unit in question. In this case The Arm Construction Vehicle! All future pages will implement the Yellow and Black Border to Emphasize this! I am organizing this site in such a manner that the extra units and structures added after installation of the Core Contingency Expansion CD are presented and described with the Unit Or Structure which "Builds" it in the game, thus preserving the "Build Tree" or "Build Interface" or "Hierarchy" used in the Standard Game, while clearly showing which units are available depending on what Version is currently installed and how the "Hierarchy" has been modifyed with the installatin of the Core Contingency Expansion.
