The story so far

The history of this map goes back to the end of the Second World War, where the German Nazi's were looking for a location to build up a secret research and production area. They finally agreed on setting it up in the high mountains of the German and Austrian alps. In order to create hidden facilities and underground production units they have had thousands of prisoners carve tunnels and caves into the stone.

Now, in the 21rd century the Nod took over the facilities and started to experiment on their own with new technologies and extraterrestrial lifeforms.
The Nods seem to do their own thing on the map together with the civilians. So, don't disturb them.

The map starts in early Sunday morning, while people are gathering on the street and waiting for the bus to take them to church.
After church they may have a walk at the nearby lake...
While life is awaking in the cities war is to come....

Play the map, either in skirmish mode or in multiplayer - on your own in deathmatch mode or in coop-mode.
Discover the secrets of the tunnel systems and special factories distributed in the high mountains of the Alps.

The map was designed to somehow reflect the reality of the high mountains, steep canyons and rivers cleaving their way through the valleys of the original area of the Alps.

The Do's and Dont's

Of course this map is spiced up with some artificial intelligence. Why this? Well, this is to have more fun while playing against each other - and to increase your points while destroying some specific buildings.

Please be aware of some specialties:

The Do's

The Dont's

The Game within the Game

The spice of a multiplayer game is to also ally with your friend and seek a challenge against a third party - someone who can be victimized to have more fun while playing. Here are your orders:

The Alien Farm

Look at the secret laboratories. Here, the Nod's seem to breed an extraterrestrial lifeform. The creatures are said to have iron and concrete as their primary meal. Looks like they are good to invade your opponent's base?

Try to destroy the farm. This will stop the Nods breeding this species.

Alternatively you may send an Engineer and capture this building. This enables you to breed your own aliens (visceroids). Double click the farm and make it your primary production facility. This is to let the aliens pop out of this building - otherwise the aliens will emerge from your weapons factory and start strolling around.
Note: Try to join two small aliens into a big one. The big alien will have more power.
Note: It was told that these creatures are useful to destroy buildings...

The RADAR

Look at the civilian RADAR in the picture above. Capture the RADAR and get the shroud generator reveiled. It looks like it's an easy snatch....
May be you like to switch off the shroud generator? If so, you should plan when exactly to capture the RADAR. It's a matter of timing...

The Fortress

Look at the picture below. This is the Alpin Fortress. You will find several installations:

The armory:

The armory was a civilian installation which is now being used by the Nod. They seem to train an endless amount of infantry in there. Destroy it and clean up the troops afterwards.

The shroud generator:

It was the latest invention of technology of the Nod. It uses a lot of energy and is supplied by undergound power plants. Once charged it discharges from time to time and you may here a strange sound emerging from it. People say that this installation jams your Radar and makes the map shroud. Get rid of it with an air strike.

The hospital:

This vital facility is the general medication center for the civilian republic. Never destroy it. You have been warned.
Try to avoid damaging it while you conquer the fortress. It was told that the Civilians will start a revolution if their hospital is crushed. Also we heard that the Nods are known to pay cash for using the hospital. People said that the Nods also will unleash their aliens in case of desctruction of the hospital.

We recommend to capture the hospital. Then you may send your infantry to the hospital in order to heal them...

Some impressions...

Last but not least here are some teasers:

Daylife at the vista point where the river has a bendy curve in the valley.
This is also a bus stop with a spectacular view as you can see...
A water purification station belonging to the city on top of the nearby mountain.
